  • 2 For Oracle database servers, Standard Edition or Enterprise Edition may be used as the database server platform. Large scale implementations may benefit from the diagnostic and tuning packs that can be purchased only with the Oracle Enterprise Edition.
  • 3 Certain Enterprise Edition performance features may improve overall performance in some cases. These considerations should be reviewed as part of your stress testing and capacity planning. Check the Oracle recommendations to determine the edition.
  • 4 For an Oracle database implementation, the Oracle database server may be deployed on any Oracle-supported platform, provided that the Oracle client prerequisites are met on the SmartPlant Foundation application server.
  • 5 For SQL Server database servers, Standard edition or Enterprise edition may be used as the database server platform. Large scale implementations may exceed the max # of cores and max memory utilized per instance limitations of the Standard edition.
  • 6 SQL Server Enterprise Edition performance features may improve overall performance in some cases. These considerations should be reviewed as part of your stress testing and capacity planning. Check the Microsoft recommendations to determine the edition.
  • 7 For SPF Web Client, the hardware and software on desktop computers, laptop computers, and tablets must support WebGL to view files. To test your system, point a browser on that system to https://get.webgl.org/.
  • 8 For mobile devices, it is important to understand that the combination of device manufacturer, operating system, web browser, and other configuration options can have a significant impact on user experience.
  • 9 Instead of SQL Server Shared Features, you can also install Microsoft ODBC Driver for Microsoft SQL Server - Windows (msodbcsql.msi) and Microsoft SQL Server Command Line Utilities (MsSqlCmdLnUtils.msi)
