Notes

  • 1 For an Oracle database implementation, the Oracle database server may be deployed on any Oracle-supported platform, provided that the Oracle client prerequisites are met on the Smart 3D database server. The Compartmentation, Geometry Analysis and Repair, Molded Forms, Structural Detailing, and Structural Manufacturing tasks are not available on Oracle databases. To support built-up members, the Plate Seam, Plate Opening, and Execute Detailing commands have been added to the Structure task for all database types.
  • 2 Linux servers cannot be used for Global Workshare.
  • 3 Visual Studio 2022 (Professional or Enterprise) is compatible. Visual Basic 6.0 SP6 is not recommended.
  • 4 Microsoft 365 is supported and certified. This is the on-premise installed version. The Cloud-based version has not been fully tested and certified, but is supported.
  • 5 Microsoft Excel reports require a digital signature. For more information, refer to the online documentation article "Disable VBA macros except digitally signed macros".
  • 6 Smart 3D is only compatible with Cyclone ENTERPRISE up to version 2022.0.1. It supports the LGS format but does not support the newer LGSx format.
  • 7 Microsoft SQL Server 2022 no longer requires any client installation. However, the Microsoft SQL Server OLE DB Driver is still required on client machines connecting to SQL Server.
  • 8 Smart 3D is now SQL Server Management Studio version agnostic. It is recommended that version 20 or later be used.
  • 9 SmartPlant.NET and SmartPlant.NETCore components are required on any computer where you will install the Intergraph Smart 3D Integration Service and on any computer where somebody will be using the integration commands. Windows 10 does not support TLS 1.3. If using Windows 10 and a version of SmartPlant .NET with TLS 1.3 support, you should not enable TLS 1.3.
